I joined Saunders & Co in March 2023 as an Associate in the Family and Relationship Property and Litigation teams. I previously practised for seven years in a litigation firm in the Wellington region but am now looking forward to calling Christchurch ‘home’
I specialise in family law and relationship property. I can assist clients with:
- Childcare and guardianship disputes;
- Relationship property matters (including separation and contracting out (‘pre-nup’) agreements;
- Family violence and Protection Order matters;
- Applying for Welfare Guardian and Property Manager orders;
- Oranga Tamariki proceedings;
- Adoption.
I know that family disputes can be emotional and stressful and so I strive to take an empathetic and practical approach to my work. Where litigation is required, I am comfortable in a courtroom and have appeared in the Family Court on countless occasions, including in defended hearings.
I also have criminal and employment experience and can assist with proceedings in the District Court and Employment Relations Authority.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, am learning to ski and try to keep up with basic Spanish. I am also an independent marriage and civil union celebrant.
