COVID-19 Alert Level 4 – Family Court Matters
With the announcement that New Zealand is at COVID-19 Alert Level 4, Auckland and Coromandel likely for seven days and the rest of New Zealand for an initial period of 3 days, this impacts the operation of the Courts. Most proceedings scheduled within the next 48 hours have been cancelled or adjourned until further notice.
The Family Court is still hearing priority proceedings which include urgent applications for Protection Orders, Interim Parenting Orders, Welfare and Guardianship Orders and any other application that requires an urgent hearing.
While we are working away from the office we are still able to assist remotely and if you require any assistance or advice on urgent matters relating to parenting, safety, family violence concerns or otherwise, we are more than happy to help.
