Wills – DIY or Through a Lawyer?
A Will is one of the most important legal documents you will ever put into place and many do not realise that if it is not done correctly, it can drastically affect the inheritance you leave behind to others. Many laws apply regarding who you should consider to benefit, how the Will is written and how it is validly enacted.
If you do not have a valid Will in place, the Court then decides who is to get what and that may not be as you intended.
Having a lawyer draw up your Will is then advisable as they can better ensure that all the legalities are met and can discuss multiple factors to consider that you may otherwise have overlooked.
