Changes to Employment Law
Don’t forget; the minimum wage increases to $17.70 per hour as of 1 April 2019.
In addition, the Domestic Violence – Victims’ Protection Act 2018 also came into effect introducing up to 10 days’ paid leave each year and access to flexible working arrangements for employees affected by domestic violence. Are you familiar with the obligations under the Act and have a comprehensive policy in place?
If in doubt over any of your employment obligations, please contact Claire McCool at our Victoria Street office.
